How it works?
The Personal
Portable Steam Sauna requires no installation, no plumbing
and no specialized electrical connections. Steam at about 45
C is produced from an electric steamer that is controlled by
its own timer and introduced into a totally enclosed
bathtub. The steamer unit is plugged into any convenient
wall socket.
Sit in the bathtub and jip up to enclosed the
steam, hand holes allow a book to be ready while enjoying
the bath. When finished, any small amount of condensing
water that is produced can easily be wiped up with a towel
from the inside of the bath tub.
The only additional items
that are needed are a towel, a small seat (a plastic garden
chair or a wooded stool is ideal) and plain tap water.
This ancient method of health care relaxes the skin
and internal organs, stimulating the circulation of the
blood vessels and the body's metabolism. Apart from giving a
great feeling of well being, it can aid the reduction of
various toxins accumulated in the body and help with general
health care.
The steam bath has many beneficial effects by
opening the pores flushing out impurities and leaving the
skin clean and refreshed, and because of the increased
metabolic rate and the energy required for perspiring, extra
calories can be burnt off. It is widely acknowledged over
the years that a steam sauna is especially helpful with
aiding such ailments as colds, rheumatism, arthritis, acne
and various skin complaints, whilst also eliminating fatigue
and aiding sleep.
